]]>Recently I pushed up my Artwork of Ernie Vincent and Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews.
I'm glad that everyone is commenting and admiring my work.
This type of Artwork is the result of my own photos I had taken and then, applying textures, using different brushes and incorporating what works with the image.
You can find the link under my Fine Art Photography.
Hope you enjoy them, too.

]]>Here is an example of a colorization I recently completed.
I scanned this photo taken from a 1 inch high, black & white, negative as shown.
I had to do some clean up work on the scanned photo. There were dust spots and a few scratches visible.
After viewing the Black & White image a couple of times, I wanted to put a little more time into satisfying the client.
I then chose to COLORIZE the photo.
Here are the Before and After:
If you would like me to restore your memories from an old photo or negative, please email me:

I edited the photos and processed these 2 composite photos.

I was chosen to shoot this years 2014 Jazz & Heritage Festival. I can't wait for it. This year is another awesome lineup.
2013 Jazz Fest- Acura Stage: Maroon 5
In Photography, Timing is Key. You have to be at the right place and time to capture that moment.
I was doing a photo walk with some friends through the French Quarters when I came up on these items at a little shop. I guess it was calling my name to come and shoot it.
C&C welcome:

As My wife dropped food coloring into the glass, I captured the images as it flowed.
I set camera on a tripod and used a remote shutter to repeatedly capture the images.
After did some manipulations in post-processing, like, saturation and contrast, then flipped the image horizontally.
I am pleased with the results. Next time, I will try a different approach. We’ll see where it gets me.
Hope you enjoy these.

]]>Light Painting II
Here is my 2nd light painting technique. Of course, I had to include all my older equipment. I found it fitting. The last was photo was the final result of 5 stacked photos and some adjustments in Bightness, Levels and Contrast.
Equipment:L-R:
1 Yashica 2 1/4 Format Camera,
2 Pentax K1000 - 35mm Film Camera,
3 Canon AE-1 35mm Film Camera,
4 Canon Lens
5 Kodak 200 ISO film
This was my first attempt of the light painting technique. It was fun to shoot in the dark using a flashlight to paint where I wanted the light to go. I took 4 of the best photos, then proceeded to stack the photos, made a few adjustments in brightness and contrast. The last photo was the final result.
I think It came out pretty good. So, I tried it again…. see future post.

]]>MY Backyard Birds.
I love just going out to my backyard. I think I have something special back there, well, at least the birds think that. Don’t tell them otherwise.
]]>I had a great shoot with one of my very good friends, Victor Goines.
We got together on Christmas Eve. He was in town for a short stay, so I got him to come over and set up shop for him.
]]>A Foggy 2 weeks in New Orleans was a great time to go out and shoot.
